Message	Alabama adopted the interstate agreement on drivers licenses which means they will report the conviction to your home state. There is nothing that PREVENTS an insurance company from raising your rates based on an out of state ticket. The first thing to do is to contact the clerk of the court in the county where your court date is scheduled and ask them if they have a driving school election procedure to avoid the conviction/points that you can do on your own. It is somewhere between possible to likely that there is a mechanism in place that allows you to do this without an attorney.
